I don't know how this compares with the original request, and I haven't
tried them myself, so let me know how they turn out!
Maple Pecan Crinkles
3/4 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup white sugar
In a large bowl, cream the butter or margarine and brown sugar. Add
the maple syrup, egg, and vanilla. Beat until light and fluffy. Beat
in the flour, baking soda, and nutmeg. Stir in the nuts. Roll
teaspoons of the dough into balls; roll the balls in the white sugar.
Place 1 inch apart on greased cookie sheets. Bake in a preheated 350F
oven for 10-12 minutes. Remove the cookies to wire racks; cool. Makes
36-42 cookies.
