Description
────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
IDEFMT.EXE - Procom Technology's low level format utility.
WARNING: Using IDEFMT will erase all information on your
hard disk.
PROSET.EXE - Procom Technology's IDE setup utility. This utility
allows you to set the system's drives type stored in
the CMOS battery backed RAM. This may be used in place
of your system's setup utility for quicker installation,
however, PROSET may not be able to calculate a proper
checksum in some computer systems. PROSET will check
this first before it makes any changes to your CMOS RAM
configuration.
DSKMETER.EXE - Procom Technology's hard disk benchmark utility.
Gives an accurate measure of the data transfer rates
and access times of the hard drives in your machine.
RELOCIDE.SYS - This utility is used to relocate IDE drive parameters
from the shared RAM on the AT-IDE adapter card to
lower RAM below 640K. This is useful only in 80386
and 80486 systems that use a memory manager to fill
the area between 640K and 1MB with available RAM. To
do this, the drive type for the IDE drive must be set
to 2 if the BIOS is enabled. The utility is then
loaded from the CONFIG.SYS file before the memory
manager is loaded.
README - This is the file you are reading.
README.EXE - Types the README file on your screen with forward and
backward scrolling functions.
