  20. IcoShow, an overview
  21. ────────────────────

  23.     . You can manage a large count of icons (up to 16,384 icons in more than
  24.       100 windows) including within icon files or libraries (Exe/Dll/Nil/Icl).

  26.     . IcoShow arranges icons in windows, one window per directory including 
  27.       icons.
  28.  
  29.     . You can select and/or exclude icons for/from processing (copy, move,
  30.       write to a library) in one or all windows using wildcards (?/*/[]).
  31.  
  32.     . You can select icons for other processing (rename, edit) one by one.
  33.  
  34.     . IcoShow prints selected icons from current window to any matrix,
  35.       laserjet, postscript or ink-jet printer. You may also print in color
  36.       if your printer can handle the output.

  38.     . You can drag icons direct to program manager (Windows 3.0/3.1 and
  39.       NDW 1.0/2.0 are supported).

  41.     . If you click on the right mouse button, IcoShow displays a Properties
  42.       Menu of the current icon.

  44.     . IcoShow will save settings and the current desktop for the next 
  45.       session to the file ICOSHOW.INI.

  48. Installing IcoShow
  49. ──────────────────

  51. The following files used for IcoShow must be in a directory you choose:

  53.               ICOSHOW.EXE               Main program
  54.               ICOSHOW.HLP               Help file
  55.               ICOSHOW.INI               Ini file (always in directory of the EXE)
  56.               ICOSHOWH.DLL              Dll used to install icons

  58. Special feature:
  59.  
  60.           BWCC.DLL            If you have this library in a directory
  61.                     where Windows can find it IcoShow will
  62.                     use Borland's Resources. If not, IcoShow
  63.                     will display dialog boxes which do not
  64.                     use Borland's Resources.

  67. Example:   Your Windows directory is C:\WIN. Then type the following commands 
  68.        from DOS prompt :

  70.                      md c:\win\tools
  71.                      copy a:\icoshow*.* c:\win\tools

  74. You can use the batch file ICOINST.BAT to do that. Start this with
  75.  
  76.            a:\icoinst c:\win\tools

  78. On place of c:\win\tools you can use another directory.

  91. You can fill out the order form and print it while IcoShow is running. Choose 
  92. menu "Print Order Form" from help menu.

  100. The charge for licence is $35 (60 DM within Germany). If you register, I will
  101. send you a printed documentation and a password. With the password each version
  102. of IcoShow will be a registered version and no registration screen will bother
  103. you.

  109. IcoShow has an evaluation time. Until this you can use it without any restric-
  110. tions. IcoShow shows the registration screen only at begin while it reads some
  111. directories from the last session.
  112. After the evaluation you must quit the registration screen each time when you
  113. start IcoShow by hitting the RETURN key.
