Introduction
o FLL is a sysops utility for creating and maintaining a
complete BBS listing.
Your database is created by sysops that frequent your system
where they are given access to their BBS information for
modification and verification so an accurate text listing may
be generated for download. Once installed, this utility is
self-maintaining.
Features (Note: $$ indicates items that can be modified remotely)
o Multi-node capability
$$ o Save multiple configuration files for all
nodes.
$$ o Change colors in ALL portions of the program.
16 foreground colors and 8 background colors.
o Toggle color "On or Off"
$$ o Change port assignments and address in the
configuration files. Supports non standard
com ports.
$$ o Change BBS path(path to DOOR.SYS)
$$ o Automatic deletion of all BBS listings that have not been
verified in XXX days. Utility provided for events.
** Limited to 15 days until registered **
$$ o Three security levels
o No sysop may modify or verify someone else's information.
Only the Master sysop may verify, delete or add
information to someone else's record.
o Auto-Node verification. Verify one, you verify all of
your nodes. No need to verify one at a time.
o User may 'OUT' any or all of HIS listings only.
o Ability to 'Clone' as many nodes as you have.
Up to 999.
FUZZY.DOC Page:3
o Automatic BBS information retrieval. No need to go
looking for your BBS record if you want to modify
or verify your information. It's there waiting on
you.
o No limit on the size of your database. It will even span
drives if you fill one up. Your only limitation is the size
of your drives. ** Limited to 15 listings until registered **
o Supports any BBS capable of creating a DOOR.SYS
o DesqView aware
o Works with Wildcat and Windows, as far as we can tell.
Installation
o Installation is very straight forward.
** FUZZY.CNF ** Configuration file - Supplied

9. 999 ; Days that any one given listing is
; allowed to remain un-verified. After
; this time has expired, the entry(s)
; will be deleted. Up to 999 days are
; allowed in this field. A utility is
; provided to be run in an event, or
; manually, to delete expired information.
10. C:\WC30\BULL\FFL.LST ; Drive, path and filename of your
; your listing. Any name you choose
11. L or S ; Place a L here for the "Long" form
; listing or a "S" for the short form
; listing.
12. N ; Y or N to allow or deny paging
Create a separate xxxxxxxx.CNF file for each node that you have.
For example, FUZZY1.CNF, FUZZY2.CNF, FUZZY3.CNF etc. This will
allow the %WCNODEID% parameter used in the DOOR#.BAT file to
call the appropriate .CNF file for the current node. Just be
sure to modify line #1 in the .CNF files to reflect the correct
nodes.
Line 1: C:\WC30\WCWORK\NODE1 ; FUZZY1.CNF
Line 1: C:\WC30\WCWORK\NODE2 ; FUZZY2.CNF
Line 1: C:\WC30\WCWORK\NODE3 ; FUZZY3.CNF
Do this for each .CNF file you would like.
You may call your config file anything you like as long as you
use the .CNF extension.
** DOORX.BAT **
Single node DOORX.BAT
L: ; Make sure your in the proper drive
CD\FUZZY ; Change to your DOOR sub-directory
FUZZY-1 FUZZY-1.CNF ; Run the DOOR
FUZZY.DOC Page:5
Multi-node DOORX.BAT ** WILDCAT Specific**
L: ; Make sure your in the proper drive.
CD\FUZZY ; Change to your DOOR sub-directory.
FUZZY-1 FUZZY-%WCNODEID%.CNF ; Run the DOOR with the %WCNODEID%
; parameter so the correct .CNF file
; is passed to the program.
That's all for the DOORX.BAT files.
On initial setup, from the Main Menu or from the Setup Menu,
<T>oggle your color to on. You will not be able to make any
color selections until this is done. The program will inform
you of this if you attempt it.
Fuzzy may also be run in the "Local" mode by using the dummy
DOOR.SYS that is provided. A DUMMY.CNF file is provided.
Change line 1 in the .CNF file so the dummy DOOR.SYS can
be located and then FUZZY-1 DUMMY.CNF. Edit the enclosed
DOOR.SYS to reflect your information as described in the
README.TXT file.
You may also log in locally to your BBS and operate the utility
with no modification to any of your files. Wildcat 3 will
generate a DOOR.SYS if logged in locally.
FUZZY-M.EXE
FUZZY-M is your event utility that creates your .TXT listing
for download. At the same time, it deletes any expired BBS
listings from your database, as defined in your configuration
file. This may also be run manually if you so choose. FUZZY-M
uses any one of your configuration files. I have enclosed the
two config files I use for my maintenance runs. FUZZY-L.CNF is
for the LONG listing and FUZZY-S.CNF for the SHORT listing.
FUZZY-M FUZZY-L.CNF I use both the Long and the Short
and/or list. The long list is in a Bulletin
FUZZY-M FUZZY-S.CNF and both are available for download.
Before any maintenance is performed, a backup is made of your
data file. The back-up file is called FUZZY-1.TAD. The next time
FUZZY-M is run, FUZZY-1.TAD is overwritten. So be sure and copy
it somewhere if you want to keep it.
As stated earlier, you may call your configuration file
anything you like, as long as the .CNF extension is used.

This screen is hard coded and cannot and must not be removed.
We have made it as aesthetic to the eyes as possible. This is
the only screen in FLL that cannot be modified in any way.

This is the main entry screen. If a sysops information is already
contained in the database, the user will be asked if he wants to
clone another node. If his answer is yes, his individual information
is inserted into this menu with his new node number already assigned.
All he has to do is insert his new data number, access type, modem
information and any pertinent information. After the last line is
completed he will be asked if he would like to save the information.

We use Btrieve from Novell as our file and record manager at
the present time. Because we do use Btrieve, there is a blank
data file, that we provide, to start your data base. Please
make a back─up of ALL the Fuzzy Logic files before starting.
The file FUZZY-1.BLK is your blank backup data file.
If you do lose your .DAT file, please call our BBS at
(214) 487-9422 or (214) 487-9053 and obtain another .DAT file.
Information on our BBS is as follows:
The Bailiwick
214-487-9422 or 214-487-9053
1200-38400 US Robotics Dual Standards
