  16. <p>Use this action to assign a <a href="ghsd.htm">hot-spare</a> drive to a logical device.
  17. An assigned hot-spare drive is a dedicated spare: it used only to rebuild
  18.   the logical device to which it is assigned. Unassigned hot-spare drives are "global"
  19.   — they can be used to rebuild any logical device on the controller.</p>
  20. <p><strong><b><img src="images/note.gif" width="15" height="17"></b> Note:</strong>
  21.   You cannot assign a hot-spare drive while a logical device is building or being
  22.   modified (such as a <a href="cldmigra.htm">logical device migration</a>).</p>
