  11. This is the complete NetWare Client Kit 1.20 for DOS\MS Windows
  12. with the VLMUP3.EXE (VLMS 1.20a) patches applied to it.  If you
  13. already have VLMUP3.EXE and the Client kit 1.20 you do not need
  14. to download these files.

  16.  The following files must be downloaded in order to have a
  17. complete product:
  18.  VLMKT1.EXE, VLMKT2.EXE, VLMKT3.EXE, VLMKT4.EXE, VLMKT5.EXE, and
  19. VLMKT6.EXE.

  21.  If you want the Client Kit you only need to download
  22. VLMKT[1-5].EXE. If you want the TCPIP that shipped with the
  23. Client Kit you need to download VLMKT6.EXE

  182. The VLMKT[1-6].EXE files are self extracting.
  183.  
  184.  NOTE:  If you get the error about "invalid drive" during install
  185. SEE TID.TXT in the VLMKT1.EXE file.

  187.  PROCEDURE:
  188.  
  189.  UPGRADING THE CLIENT KIT ON A 4.x SERVER:
  190.  1. Extract all files into the same directory. Extract the files
  191. by typing VLMKT[1-6].EXE [path of directory to extract to]
  192.     Example:  VLMKT1.EXE F:\PUBLIC\CLIENT\DOSWIN
  193.  
  194.  UPGRADING THE WORKSTATION FROM THE FILESERVER:
  195.  1. Login the workstation and map a drive to the directory that
  196. you put the Client Kit in. Next, change to that drive and type
  197. INSTALL.EXE. Then follow the instruction in the installation
  198. program.
  199.  
  200.  MAKING CLIENT DISKETTES:
  201.  If you desire a set of diskettes, follow the steps below.
  202.  1. Attach a label to each formatted ( 3.5", 1.44MB ) diskette
  203. and write the following on the corresponding labels.
  204.  
  205.      Disk1:  NetWare Client for DOS and MS Windows Disk1
  206. (VLMKT1.EXE)
  207.      Disk2:  NetWare Client for DOS and MS Windows Disk2
  208. (VLMKT2.EXE)
  209.      Disk3:  NetWare Client for DOS and MS Windows Disk3
  210. (VLMKT3.EXE)
  211.      Disk4:  NetWare Client for DOS and MS Windows Disk4
  212. (VLMKT4.EXE)
  213.      Disk5:  NetWare Client for DOS and MS Windows Disk5
  214. (VLMKT5.EXE)
  215.      Disk6: TCP/IP Transport for DOS V4.12 (VLMKT6.EXE)
  216.  
  217.  2. Extract the files to the formatted ( 3.5", 1.44MB ) floppies,
  218. to  A: or the drive letter that is the 3.5" floppy. 
  219.  For example:  VLMKT1.EXE A: <ENTER>
  220.  
  221.  3. To install using these prepared diskettes, boot the DOS/MS
  222. Windows workstation and insert Disk1. Change to the floppy drive
  223. and type INSTALL.
  224.  For example:
  225.  A: <ENTER>
  226.  INSTALL <ENTER>
  227.  Follow the instructions in the installation program.
