  10. ABSTRACT:

  12. TCP41A.EXE contains TCPIP.NLM v3.00f, which supersedes TCPIP.NLM
  13. v3.00e for NetWare 4.10 servers and NetWare Multiprotocol Routers
  14. v3.0 only.  It resolves various issues with TCP/IP as well as
  15. bootp forwarding.  Only install TCP41A.EXE to replace an earlier
  16. version of TCPIP.NLM 3.00x, which is supplied with NetWare 4.10
  17. and MultiProtocol Router 3.0.  Do NOT install TCP41A.EXE on a
  18. system which has NetWare MultiProtocol Router version 2.x (or
  19. earlier) or on a NetWare 3.x or 4.0x server which does NOT have
  20. MultiProtocol Router 3.0.

  39. SYMPTOM:

  41. Problems with TCP/IP and bootp forwarding as follow:

  43.  1.  Memory leak in Streams driver corrected.
  44.  
  45.  2.  Not allowing greater than 32 connections on a NBMA WAN link. 
  46. Also changed in TCPCFG.NLM module in conjunction with this.
  47.  
  48.  3.  OSPF unnumbered wan link having problems recovering when
  49. phyically switching ports.
  50.  
  51.  4.  Abend in bootpfwd on packets with mac-address greater than
  52. 10 bytes.

  54.  5.  TCPCFG.NLM:  fixed mapping problem to 255 from 32.

  73. Installation Instructions:

  75. 1.  *DANGER* Do not install TCP41A.EXE over TCPIP 2.x.  Only
  76. install TCP41A.EXE to replace an earlier version of TCPIP.NLM
  77. 3.00x, which is supplied with NetWare 4.10 and MultiProtocol
  78. Router 3.0.  TCPIP.NLM will fail to load.
  79.  
  80.  2.  *DANGER* Do NOT install the new TCP/IP files from TCP41A.EXE
  81. on a system which has NetWare MultiProtocol Router version 2.x
  82. (or earlier) or on a NetWare 3.x or 4.0x server which does NOT
  83. have MultiProtocol Router 3.0.

  85.  Installing TCP41A.EXE on a system which does not already have
  86. TCPIP 3.00x may cause TCPIP.NLM load problems.

  88.  3.  Make a backup copy of each NLM file.

  90.  4.  Copy the new NLM files into the SYS:\SYSTEM directory.
