ABSTRACT:

TCP41A.EXE contains TCPIP.NLM v3.00f, which supersedes TCPIP.NLM
v3.00e for NetWare 4.10 servers and NetWare Multiprotocol Routers
v3.0 only.  It resolves various issues with TCP/IP as well as
bootp forwarding.  Only install TCP41A.EXE to replace an earlier
version of TCPIP.NLM 3.00x, which is supplied with NetWare 4.10
and MultiProtocol Router 3.0.  Do NOT install TCP41A.EXE on a
system which has NetWare MultiProtocol Router version 2.x (or
earlier) or on a NetWare 3.x or 4.0x server which does NOT have
MultiProtocol Router 3.0.

SYMPTOM:

Problems with TCP/IP and bootp forwarding as follow:

 1.  Memory leak in Streams driver corrected.

 2.  Not allowing greater than 32 connections on a NBMA WAN link. 
Also changed in TCPCFG.NLM module in conjunction with this.

 3.  OSPF unnumbered wan link having problems recovering when
phyically switching ports.

 4.  Abend in bootpfwd on packets with mac-address greater than
10 bytes.

 5.  TCPCFG.NLM:  fixed mapping problem to 255 from 32.


SOLUTION: 

Apply the files found in TCP41A.EXE.

Installation Instructions:

1.  *DANGER* Do not install TCP41A.EXE over TCPIP 2.x.  Only
install TCP41A.EXE to replace an earlier version of TCPIP.NLM
3.00x, which is supplied with NetWare 4.10 and MultiProtocol
Router 3.0.  TCPIP.NLM will fail to load.

 2.  *DANGER* Do NOT install the new TCP/IP files from TCP41A.EXE
on a system which has NetWare MultiProtocol Router version 2.x
(or earlier) or on a NetWare 3.x or 4.0x server which does NOT
have MultiProtocol Router 3.0.

 Installing TCP41A.EXE on a system which does not already have
TCPIP 3.00x may cause TCPIP.NLM load problems.

 3.  Make a backup copy of each NLM file.

 4.  Copy the new NLM files into the SYS:\SYSTEM directory.
