NetWare Global MHS to PROFS <Patch - PROFS10C.EXE >
! IMPORTANT ! Before installing this patch, you must be running
Netware Global MHS to PROFS v1.0
This patch incorporates the following fixes:
============================================
1) The sender's name is now set to the SMF long name instead of the
SMF short name.
2) PROFS message acknowlegement (.ak) requests are now correctly handled.
Acknowledgements will only be sent to the PROFS user if so requested by
the PROFS user. By default, Global MHS will create an acknowledgement when
the message has been successfully delivered to the recipient's mailbox. This
is the recommended option.
Optionally, the Global MHS adminstator can request that acknowledgments are
returned to the sender only when the recipient has actually read the message.
This option is activated by adding the following parameter to the NGMPROFS
configuration data on the NGM.CFG file:
RECEIPT-NOTIFICATION-ON-READ=TRUE
NOTE: If using the above option, the application being used by the recipient
must be fully SMF71 compliant and create receipt notifications as documented
in the SMF71 Reference guide. Otherwise, acknowledgements will not be sent
back to the PROFS sender.
3) If the sender's address (NDS user) is registered in the GMHS database,
the PROFS protocol module will obtain the SYSTEM name from the
extended address part. Otherwise, the sender is registered in the auto
registration table & the short name for the SMF GATEWAY is used as a
SYSTEM name.
TO APPLY THIS PATCH:
===================
1) Delete PATCH.* from the NGM\BIN directory if you have applied
previous NGM patches.
2) Delete the BACKUP directory from the NGM\BIN directory if it exists.
Otherwise, ignore STEP 2.
3) Copy the files PATCH.EXE and PATCH.RTP to your NGM\BIN subdirectory.
4) Change directories to your NGM\BIN directory.
5) Make a backup copy of the following NGMPROFS v1.0 files:
NGMPROFS.NLM (dated 04-12-94 ; 2711 bytes in size)
PROFSCON.NLM (dated 04-12-94 ; 160311 bytes in size)
PROFSRUN.NLM (dated 05-31-94 ; 259070 bytes in size)
PROFUINS.NLM (dated 04-12-94 ; 2952 bytes in size)
PROFSCON.HLP (dated 03-21-94 ; 4306 bytes in size)
if you have previously applied the PROFS101 patch, your current
NGMPROFS files will have the following file statistics:
NGMPROFS.NLM (dated 04-12-94 ; 2711 bytes in size)
PROFSCON.NLM (dated 04-12-94 ; 160311 bytes in size)

PROFUINS.NLM (dated 04-12-94 ; 2952 bytes in size)
PROFSCON.HLP (dated 03-21-94 ; 4306 bytes in size)
6) Run the program PATCH.EXE (with no parameters).
7) If the patch succeeds, delete PATCH.EXE and PATCH.RTP.
The resulting NGMPROFS files will have the following file statistics:
NGMPROFS NLM 2711 03-27-95 10:07a
PROFSCON NLM 160311 03-27-95 10:07a
PROFSRUN NLM 259965 03-27-95 10:06a

PROFSCON HLP 4306 03-21-94 11:43a
