  24. NETWARE SETUP STEPS FOR THE RACAL INTERLAN NI9210

  26. STEP 1: CONFIGURING THE RACAL INTERLAN NI9210 
  27.  
  28. The Racal InterLan NI9210 is configured through the use of the
  29. Reference Disk that is shipped with your microchannel system. The files 
  30. NI9210.16 (for NI9210s with 16KB buffer) and NI9210.64 (for NI9210s with
  31. 64KB buffer) contain the information necessary to describe the configuration
  32. of the card.

  36. STEP 2: INSTALLING THE DRIVER FILES FOR THE RACAL INTERLAN
  37. NI9210
  38.  
  39.       1. Copy the E9210SH.LAN file to the SHGEN-1 diskette for "floppy
  40.          disk" method or to the SHGEN-1 sub-directory if you are using
  41.          "harddisk" or "network" method. It is a Shell driver description
  42.          file.
  43.       2. Copy the Operating System driver description file E9210OS.LAN to
  44.          the AUXGEN diskette for "floppy disk" method or to the AUXGEN
  45.          sub-directory if you are using "harddisk" or "network" method.
  46.          But if you are generating an External Bridge, the E9210OS.LAN file
  47.          should be copied to the BRGEN-1 diskette or the BRGEN-1
  48.          sub-directory.
  49.       3. For the "floppy disk" method a blank disk needs to be formated
  50.          and labeled.  Use the DOS LABEL command to label the diskette
  51.          as LAN_DRV_003.  If the "harddisk" or "network" method is being
  52.          used the a subdirectory under the NETWARE directory must be
  53.          created.  Use the DOS MKDIR command to create the LAN_DRV_.003
  54.          subdirectory.  Copy the *.OBJ files to either the labeled diskette
  55.          or subdirectory depending on which method is being used.
  56.       4. Run NETGEN and select the correct driver from the list of LAN adapter 
  57.          options to generate the file server operating system.
  58.       5. Run SHGEN and select the correct driver from the list of LAN adapter
  59.          options to generate the workstation shell.
  60.       6. Run BRGEN and select the correct driver from the list of LAN adapter
  61.          options to generate the external bridge software.

  66.      Note: The NI9210 is a MCA adapter board and is therefore self-
  67.            configuring. Always choose option 0: Self Configuring when
  68.         generating the shell IPX.COM.
