  3. The AIOTERM.NLM utility is a "dumb terminal" utility similar to the
  4. TESTCOMM utility that ships with the DOS version of the Async
  5. Gateway.  It is provided here for your use in troubleshooting
  6. problems with initializing modems.
  7.  
  8. You accept this utility under the following conditions:

  21. INSTRUCTIONS:
  22.  
  23. From the console prompt type:
  24.  
  25.      load aioterm
  26.  
  27. and press enter.  The first screen shows all of the AIO compliant
  28. drivers that are currently loaded.  If you don't see any listed,
  29. then you need to exit and load one.  On this screen you're prompted
  30. for the hardware type, board number, and port number (just as you
  31. would have provided in the gateway setup) of the port you want to
  32. open.  If it responds with an error, then that port couldn't be
  33. opened, otherwise you will see the next screen.

  35. Selecting option #1 will take you into a "Dumb Terminal Mode". From
  36. there you can enter AT commands to be sent to your modem.  This
  37. utility is currently hard-coded to 9600 bps, 8 data bits, 1 stop
  38. bit, and no parity, which should be sufficient to determine if
  39. you're talking to the modem or not.

  41. Pressing <Esc> will back you out, one screen at a time, until you
  42. are returned to the console prompt.
