  4.  The Temple was put up on the initiative of 
  5. Dalai-lama, with prominent orientalists as 
  6. consultants (including V. Radlov, S. Oldenburg. 
  7. N. Roerich and others). In its design Tibetian 
  8. architectural motifs and Buddhist symbols were 
  9. used. In 1990 the temple was returned into 
  10. possession of the Buddhist community.
