  13. In October 1991, as a result of the activities of the informal liaison
  14. group between the Security, System Administration, and Distributed
  15. Services working groups, a draft project authorization request PAR was
  16. circulated for discussion.  This draft PAR proposed a working group to
  17. define a POSIX.0 model for security in a distributed system, and the
  18. definition of security interfaces in a distributed environment.
