  10. Shared libraries, done right, are invisible to the user and hence do
  11. not need standardizing.

  13. Shared memory is one of the innumerable goodies that POSIX.4 is designing,
  14. er excuse me I mean standardizing.  Opinions about POSIX.4 vary.

  16. I'm not aware of anyone working on standards for dynamic linking/loading.
  17. Frankly, my opinion would be that we're nowhere near understanding it
  18. well enough to standardize it.  (Although that hasn't stopped some
  19. people in other areas...)
