  3. I have decided to resign my post as Usenix Institutional Representative
  4. to the TCOS/SEC - the management committee behind the IEEE POSIX
  5. effort.
  6.  
  7. So that the Association has sufficient time to find a replacement, it
  8. is my intention to `hand over the reins' at the end of the year. My
  9. last IEEE meeting will be in October 1992. My successor will be
  10. expected to attend the January POSIX meeting.
  11.  
  12. I think that a candidate should think about getting onto the IEEE
  13. paper-chain in the Fall so that they may have enough background to be
  14. effective at the January IEEE meeting.

  16. I have been asked by the Usenix board to ask on the net if anyone
  17. would be willing and able to take on the job.
