  3. Does anyone have any experience of applications development using POSIX 
  4. interfaces only? Is it possible to write interactive applications for
  5. a commercial environment using only these interfaces?

  7. Further, does anyone have any experience of applications development using
  8. X/Open interfaces (XPG3) only and then porting the developed applications
  9. to a variety of platforms of types that are different from the development
  10. environment?

  12. I would be very grateful if anyone can relate (by e-mail please) their 
  13. experiences in using interface standards and/or porting between environments
  14. which support POSIX and/or X/Open interface sets.
