  8. It's not widely implemented inside MIT either.  Palladium Version 1
  9. (c. 1989) was too broken to use.  The print software currently used by
  10. Athena is Berkeley lpr with optional Kerberos authentication and print
  11. quotas added.  As far as I know, MIT's plans for the new version of
  12. Palladium are limited to delivering a product to the OSF.

  14. (The extent of my involvement with Palladium is that I tried to use it
  15. during testing 2 years ago.  I found it a very effective tool for
  16. paper conservation, but that's more of a comment on implementation
  17. than design.)
