- Some time ago -- either last January or June Usenix time-frame -- the
- Berkeley folks called a meeting to discuss this. At least Sun and DEC
- came. Everyone hashed things out, and CSRG came up with the definitive
- prototype filesystem layout, as well as agreements from some people (DEC
- is one name I recall) to follow it. Keith Bostic had viewgraphs, and
- posted them to comp.bugs.4bsd-fixes. (No, I don't have a copy any more.)

- Perhaps people can pressure vendors to pick up the BSD standard. (A nicely
- vague phraseology...)
