  4. he refenced the "FEDERAL MODEL" which seemed to be roughly equivalent to the
  5. X/OPEN model.  Can anyone direct me to where I can find out more about the
  6. Federal model - how it relates to other efforts (GOSSIP, POSIX, etc); how
  7. it affects FIPS; and how it relates to X/OPEN...
