  95. <p>Before issuing you a software token, your administrator may ask you 
  96.  for the serial number of the device where you will store the token. Normally, 
  97.  the device is your local hard drive, but it can be another supported device, 
  98.  such as a <a class="expandspot" href="javascript:TextPopup(this)" id="a1">TPM</a><span class=expandtext style="display: 'none';" id=POPUP332458524 >   A unique hardware device on the system board that can handle various 
  99.  security tasks on a personal computer system.</span> 
  100.  or a fingerprint reader. The administrator uses the serial number to bind 
  101.  (associate) the token with a specific device. Binding the token helps 
  102.  keep it secure.</p>
  103. <p>If you have not imported a token, the Import Token screen opens when 
  104.  you start the SecurID desktop application. Use the following procedure 
  105.  to locate the device serial number.</p>
  106. <p class="whs3">To locate a device serial number:</p>

  109.  the Import Token screen, click <span style="font-weight: bold;"><B>Token 
  110.  Storage Device</B></span>.<br>
  111.     This opens the Token Storage Devices dialog box, which contains a list 
  112.  of token storage devices and the serial number for each device.</p></li>
