  7.     her feet are sore from a long day of work and a night 
  8.     of dancing.

  10.                     CASSIE 
  11.             My poor feet... baby, you better 
  12.             marry me soon. I'm not getting 
  13.             any younger.
  14.  
  15.     Benny turns and takes her in his arms.
  16.  
  17.                     BENNY 
  18.             But you are getting more and more 
  19.             beautiful.
  20.  
  21.     Benny breaks out into a TBD SONG. Although he's 
  22.     hamming it up, it's obvious he has an impressive voice. 
  23.     After a few bars, they lean over to kiss. But before 
  24.     their lips touch --

  26.                     PREACHER (O.S.) 
  27.             Brother Benny.
  28.  
  29.     Benny looks to see --

  31. 59   BENNY'S POV

  33.     of the Preacher emerging from the shadows. Benny lets 
  34.     go of Cassie and walks over to him, smiling.

  36.                     BENNY 
  37.             I was hoping I'd see you again. 
  38.                 (proud) 
  39.             I did it. My story's going to be 
  40.             published.
  41.  
  42.                     PREACHER 
  43.             "The light of the Lord is in his 
  44.             path." But, this is only the 
  45.             beginning of your journey -- not 
  46.             the ending. And the path of the 
  47.             Prophets sometimes leads into 
  48.             darkness and pain.
