  8.             me some cash.

  10.     And with that, Jimmy takes off, looking for a new 
  11.     "customer."

  13. 33   INT. MAGAZINE OFFICE - DAY
  14.  
  15.     CLOSE ON Herbert sitting at the table, completely 
  16.     engrossed as he reads a carbon copy of a novella-sized 
  17.     manuscript. As he finishes reading a page and begins 
  18.     reading the next, he hands the finished page over to 
  19.     Kay, who is seated next to him. She is equally 
  20.     engrossed in what she's reading. As she finishes her 
  21.     page and continues on to the next, she hands off her 
  22.     finished page to Julius. Julius, in turn, hands his 
  23.     finished page to Albert. Albert finishes reading the 
  24.     page he's on, hands it off to Ritterhouse. Ritterhouse 
  25.     finishes the page he's on, passes it up to a woman 
  26.     standing behind him. The woman is DARLENE KURSKY (Dax 
  27.     without the spots). As we'll learn shortly, she is 
  28.     Pabst's new secretary.
  29.  
  30.                     DARLENE
  31.                 (as she reads) 
  32.             She has a worm in her belly? 
  33.             That's disgusting.
  34.                 (a beat) 
  35.             Interesting, but disgusting.
  36.  
  37.     All the writers look up at her. There's a beat as they 
  38.     all try to place the new face.
  39.  
  40.                     ALBERT 
  41.             Who... that is, if you don't mind 
  42.             me asking... are, uh...
  43.  
  44.                     DARLENE 
  45.             I'm Mister Pabst's new secretary. 
  46.             Darlene Kursky.
  47.                 (re: the manuscript)
