  15.                     ROY (O.S.)

  18.     From out of the back emerges ROY RITTERHOUSE (think 
  19.     Martok without the makeup), carrying a folder of pencil 
  20.     sketches. Roy is an upbeat illustrator who enjoys his 
  21.     work.

  23.                     ROY 
  24.             All right, friends and neighbors, 
  25.             let's see what Uncle Roy brought 
  26.             you today...

  28.     Roy holds up the first sketch -- it's a drawing of a little girl 
  29.     standing in the woods near a picnic table, staring at two aliens 
  30.     in space suits.

  33.             I've titled this one... "Please, 
  34.             Take Me With You."
  35.                 (to the group)

  39.                 (getting a nod from his 
  40.                 wife) 
  41.             I think we can do something with 
  42.             that.

  45.                 (caustic) 
  46.             I bet you can. I can see it 
  47.             now -- the lonely little girl, 
  48.             befriended by empathetic aliens 
  49.             who teach her how to smile.
  50.                 (shuddering) 
  51.             It's enough to make you go out and 
  52.             buy a television.
