  9.     He turns to his chorus.

  11.                     DUKAT
  12.                 (continuing)
  13.             That's right, isn't it?!

  15.     They all nod.
  16.  
  17.                     DUKAT 
  18.             I knew it! I've always known it!
  19.                 (at the top of his lungs) 
  20.             I should've killed every last one 
  21.             of them and turned their planet 
  22.             into a graveyard the likes of 
  23.             which the galaxy had never seen!
  24.  
  25.     A beat passes as Dukat lets the rage and fury subside 
  26.     for a moment. He stands there, catching his breath... 
  27.     and when he speaks again, it's with the quiet 
  28.     resolution of a man who's always known the truth, but 
  29.     has never let himself say it out loud.
  30.  
  31.                     DUKAT
  32.                 (quiet, resolved)
  33.             I should've killed them all.
  34.  
  35.     Suddenly, the METAL BAR comes crashing down on Dukat's 
  36.     skull and he drops down to the ground.
  37.  
  38. 58   SISKO
  39.  
  40.     stands over him for a moment. He's unsteady on his 
  41.     feet, badly hurt and weak, but even now we can see the 
  42.     contempt and loathing he feels for the man now sprawled 
  43.     unconscious before him. (Dukat has fallen on the 
  44.     phaser, and Sisko can't get it.)

  46.                     SISKO
  47.                 (quiet) 
  48.             And that... is why you're not an 
  49.             evil man?
  50.  
  51.     Sisko staggers out of the cavern and EXITS to the 
  52.     tunnel with all the energy he can muster. A few quiet 
  53.     seconds pass, and then...
