  5.     (AKA HABITAT RING CORRIDOR, SECTION C)

  7.     A Cardassian soldier moves through the shadows. He 
  8.     stops as he hears the sound of Garak's voice off screen --
  9.  
  10.                     GARAK (O.S.) 
  11.             Access denied... access denied. 
  12.             How monotonous.
  13.  
  14. 57   INT. EMPOK NOR - INFIRMARY
  15.  
  16.     The soldier stealthily makes his way through the 
  17.     medical bay.
  18.  
  19.     He positions himself to one side of the door leading 
  20.     into surgery, then after a beat, swings into --
  21.  
  22. 58   INT. SURGERY
  23.  
  24.     -- only to find the room empty. The monitor is still 
  25.     blinking with the Cardassian lettering... but there's 
  26.     no sign of Garak.
  27.  
  28.     The soldier carefully moves around the room, assuring 
  29.     himself that it is indeed empty. He makes a complete 
  30.     sweep, passing by the stasis tubes. We drop off on the 
  31.     closed tube.

  33. 59   CLOSE ON THE SMOKED WINDOW
  34.  
  35.     a pair of eyes watching.
  36.  
  37. 60   WIDER (OPTICAL) 
  38.  
  39.     as the tube door flings open and the Cardassian soldier
  40.     swings around to see Garak -- in the tube -- holding a
  41.  
  42.     phaser.
  43.  
  44.                     GARAK 
  45.             Looking for me? 
  46.  
  47.     And then Garak FIRES, killing him instantly.
  48.  
  49. 61   ANOTHER ANGLE

  51.     as Garak allows himself a small smile.
