  10.     There's a beat as Ziyal wonders if she heard him 
  11.     right... then realizes that he's joking and she smiles 
  12.     a little.

  14.                     GARAK
  15.             Normally I would simply make a 
  16.             strategic withdrawal at the first 
  17.             sign of trouble, but there doesn't 
  18.             seem to be any way out of here.
  19.  
  20.     Ziyal relaxes somewhat, likes the joking tone and tries 
  21.     to make a game response.
  22.  
  23.                     ZIYAL
  24.             You could always call Security.
  25.  
  26.                      GARAK
  27.             True. But it would take several 
  28.             minutes for them to arrive, and by 
  29.             then... it might be too late.
  30.  
  31.     She almost laughs at that. There's a quiet moment as 
  32.     the tension lessens and they look at each other in the 
  33.     lift... and they begin to realize something unexpected: 
  34.     there's a certain attraction between these two. They 
  35.     break eye contact after a moment and Ziyal tries to 
  36.     continue the banter.

  38.                     ZIYAL
  39.             I don't think I'll hurt you.
  40.  
  41.                     GARAK
  42.             I'm gratified to hear it.
  43.  
  44.                     ZIYAL
  45.             In fact... I think it's safe to 
  46.             say you have nothing to fear from 
  47.             me.
  48.  
  49.     The lift STOPS and the doors OPEN.
  50.  
  51.                     GARAK
  52.                 (sincere)
  53.             And you, my dear, have nothing to 
  54.             fear from me.

  56.     He holds her eyes for a beat, then EXITS, leaving Ziyal 
  57.     alone with a new curiosity about this man.
