  15.     Lenara looks up at her sharply... then sees the 
  16.     mischievous smile on Dax's face and realizes the inside 
  17.     joke.

  20.             Well, that's interesting 
  21.             considering what you do now.

  24.                 (laughs) 
  25.             Curzon would be horrified to know 
  26.             that I'm a scientist. The very 
  27.             idea of doing research made him 
  28.             ill.

  30.                     LENARA 
  31.             Torias was not much different. I 
  32.             can remember talking to him about 
  33.             my wanting to study theoretical 
  34.             quantum physics and his eyes 
  35.             glazed over.

  38.             The irony is that you and I have 
  39.             more in common than Torias and 
  40.             Nilani ever did.

  45.     They both smile, but at the same time, this has touched 
  46.     on a topic that is once again edging toward some tricky 
  47.     territory. Fortunately for both of them, a com voice 
  48.     breaks in.
