  11.             in the ship's hull.

  18.                 (still at work)
  19.             They're emitted by the cloaking 
  20.             device.  Sometimes they become lodged 
  21.             in the ship's ablative armor matrix.

  24.             But we've used the transporter many 
  25.             times since the cloaking device was 
  26.             installed.  There's never been a 
  27.             problem before.

  29.                     O'BRIEN
  30.             And I don't know why it would be a 
  31.             problem now.

  33.     O'Brien sees something on the transporter control readouts 
  34.     that puzzles him.

  37.             Wait a minute.
  38.                 (a beat)
  39.             It looks like there was a surge of 
  40.             temporal energy a few seconds before 
  41.             the initiation of the transporter 
  42.             sequence.

  46.             Tell me that's a clue.

  49.             It's a clue all right.  I'm just not 
  50.             sure what it means yet.
