  1. W i n N E T   UK   M a i l (TM)

  3. Terms and Conditions.

  5. 1.  The WinNET Mail (TM) software is distributed freely for
  6.     the purpose of connecting with the WinNET UK service.
  7.     There is no charge for the software as long as it is
  8.     used for this purpose. 
  9.  
  10. 2.  The WinNET service is billed on a connect time basis at
  11.     the rate of
  12.     
  13.                 £3.25 per hour
  14.                 
  15.     There is a monthly minimum charge of £6.75 while you 
  16.     have an account with us.  This means that if you use less 
  17.     than £6.75 worth of connect time (billed at £3.25 per 
  18.     hour), you will be billed the minimum of £6.75.
  19.      
  20.     There is a per account minimum charge of £6.75.  
  21.     Accounts created and then ended shortly thereafter will 
  22.     be billed at minimum £6.75.
  23.  
  24.     The minimum monthly charge is prorated to the actual
  25.     number of days of service in the first month of service
  26.     and in the last month of service. 
  27.     
  28.     There is no charge for new account set up other than
  29.     a minimum life-time charge of £6.75 per account. 
  30.     Accounts that are created and then disconnected before
  31.     billing £6.75 in connect time or monthly minimum
  32.     charges will be billed a total of £6.75.

  34.     Connect time is recorded in increments of one minute. 
  35.     Fractions of minutes are billed as full minutes.  All
  36.     amounts are denominated in Pounds Sterling (GBP)
  37.  
  38. 2a. Login Account.  The PC User Group also offers WinNET
  39.     subscribers the option of obtaining a login account on
  40.     our system for the purpose of using TELNET and/or FTP.
  41.     This costs an additional £7.25 per month.  This is a
  42.     flat fee and there are no additional costs associated
  43.     with such an account.  If you wish to take this option
  44.     please mail info@win-uk.net and we will send you further 
  45.     details.  Remember this will take your monthly minumum
  46.     charge for using the service to £14.00 per month.
  47.     
  48. 3.  Payment.  As part of your account registration we
  49.     request a credit card number for payment.  You will be
  50.     charged £6.75 when you first establish your account as
  51.     your account's life-time minimum charge.  This £6.75 is
  52.     fully credited toward connect time charges and your
  53.     monthly minimums if you continue your account.
  54.     
  55.     You will be sent a statement of account usage via
  56.     WinNET UK mail after the end of the month.  Your credit 
  57.     card will be charged for the amount on the statement.
  58.     
  59.     Other payment arrangements are possible, please contact
  60.     us. 
  61.  
  62. 4.  Ending Service.  If you choose to terminate your account
  63.     on WinNET, all you need to do is contact us by WinNET
  64.     Mail, letter, or telephone.  We will end your service on
  65.     the date that you request and prorate your minimum
  66.     charge for that month accordingly.

  68. 5.  Personal Computer User Group exercises no control whatever over
  69.     the content of the information passing through the
  70.     WinNET system.  PC User Group  is not responsible
  71.     for the accuracy, quality, or content of the information
  72.     obtained through its service.  PC User Group makes
  73.     no warranty, whether expressed or implied, for the
  74.     service it offers.  PC User Group disclaims any
  75.     warranty of merchantability of fitness for a particular
  76.     purpose.

  78. 6.  PC User Group makes no warranty whether expressed
  79.     or implied for the WinNET Mail software.  No warranty of
  80.     merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose is
  81.     provided for the WinNET Mail software. 
  82.  
  83. 7.  WinNET may only be used for lawful purposes.
  84.     Transmission of any material in violation of United Kingdon, 
  85.     United States law, laws of the nation in which WinNET is used,
  86.     or state law or regulation is prohibited.  This 
  87.     includes, but is not limited to: copyrighted material,
  88.     material legally judged to be threatening or obscene, or
  89.     material protected by trade secret.  You agree to
  90.     indemnify and hold harmless PC User Group from any
  91.     claims resulting form your use of the WinNET UK service or
  92.     WinNET Mail software which damages you or another party.

  94. 8.  The WinNET Mail (TM) software may be distributed by you
  95.     to others as long as you agree to all conditions listed
  96.     in the READ-1ST.TXT and VENDOR.TXT files.
