- This disk contains various images taken by the Hubble Space Telescope,
- stored in JPEG (.JPG) format.
-
- This is a very compact format, which allows many more images to be
- fitted onto each floppy disk. You will need an image viewer to see
- these, such as the excellent shareware proggram, PAINT SHOP PRO,
- which will also allow you to enhance the images, convert them to
- wallpaper, rescale them and much more.
-
- Alternatively WECJ.EXE is a simple Windows JPEG viewer - just
- run it to install it. You may then want to give it an icon by
- locating the installed WECJ.EXE in file manager, and dragging it
- to a program manager group. Windows 95 users can drag with the
- right mouse button after locating it with the FIND command, and
- then selecting CREATE SHORTCUT.
-
- You will also find a selection of text files on this floppy disk,
- covering the press releases from NASA to go with the images, and
- the background text.
-
- Any text viewer will show these, such as the DOS EDIT program,
- Windows notepad, or Windows 95 Wordpad.
