  1.                         STOPPING the PRINTING PROCESS

  3.     When printing a file in PC-TYPE+, you may at any time press Ctrl\ to
  4.     stop the process of sending characters to your printer.
  5.  
  6.     Additionally, unless you are printing a file in the background, you
  7.     may press the Esc key in which case PC-TYPE+ will ask if you want to
  8.     abort or continue printing.
  9.  
  10.     Your printer has its own print buffer where characters queue up
  11.     waiting to be printed.  Similarly if you use a "Print Spooler" you
  12.     have an even larger buffer of characters waiting to be printed.
  13.     Characters in these buffers have already been processed by PC-TYPE+,
  14.     and they will continue to be printed even after you press Ctrl\.
  15.     Ctrl\ will only stop sending new characters to the printer.  You can
  16.     turn your printer off to empty its buffer, and most print spoolers
  17.     have special commands to empty theirs.
