  1.                     CHOOSING YOUR SCREEN COLORS in PC-TYPE+
  2.  
  3.     If you have a color monitor and would like to change the colors of
  4.     PC-TYPE+ to something different than those selected for your
  5.     distribution disk, you can do this by going to the MODIFY DEFAULTS
  6.     panel by pressing F8 and then F2.  Once in the MODIFY DEFAULTS panel,
  7.     move the Option Selection Bar by pressing the Tab key (or the Shift
  8.     Tab key to move in the opposite direction) until it is on the field
  9.     Screen Attributes.  Then Press F10 and you will be presented with the
  10.     screen displayed below.

  12.     If you use a monochrome screen, don't worry about the colors.  The
  13.     attributes are automatically changed in PC-TYPE+ when it recognizes
  14.     that you are using a monochrome screen.

  16.     If you use a graphics card with a non-color monitor, you should
  17.     probably change these attributes so your screen will be legible.

  43.     You may set colors on four different areas of the screen:
  44.           - the text area in which you are now looking
  45.           - the border outside the double line at the margins
  46.           - the fields color, like the Command Line below
  47.           - the small menus color which you would see if you pressed F8.

  49.     To change the colors, you move the Color Selection Bar to the field
  50.     you want to modify (Screen Attribute, Menu Attribute, etc.) by
  51.     pressing the Tab key, and then press AltF or CtrlF to change the
  52.     foreground color and AltB or CtrlB to change the background color.
  53.     The results of these color changes will be seen on the small screen in
  54.     the panel as you make the changes.  (The numbers mainly help you
  55.     remember a particular combination you liked.)  AltF and AltB change
  56.     these numbers in one direction while CtrlF and CtrlB change the
  57.     numbers in the opposite direction.

  64.     When you are satisfied with what you have, press F10, and the colors
  65.     of PC-TYPE+ will change instantly to your new selection.  If you
  66.     decide you really didn't want to change the colors after all, you
  67.     could press the Esc key INSTEAD of F10 and your changes will be
  68.     ignored.

  72.     If you like your selections and want to make them permanent, you may
  73.     do so by saving your defaults to a file or to PC-TYPE+ itself.  (See
