- USING THE BOOK MARK FEATURE
-
- When you are at a particular point of interest in a file, you often
- need to browse through the rest of the file to look for some pertinent
- information. Then you have to get back.
-
- The Book Mark feature allows you to quickly return to where you were
- if you set the mark first. AltQ (since the slash in the Q looks like a
- book marker), will set the mark. CtrlQ will return you to that
- location.
-
- The book mark will only return you to the point of interest if you do
- not move or delete a number of lines. If you do, the reference point
- will be shifted.
-
-
-
- Press the PgDn Key
-
- BOOK MARK (Continued)
-
- Whenever you press CtrlQ, you will be returned to the mark unless you
- have added or deleted lines above the mark. At any time you may reset
- the mark by pressing AltQ again.
-
- Move the cursor to the asterisk below and press AltQ.
-

-
- Now press PgDn twice.
-
- As you can see, you are returned to the point you were at when you
- left.
