  1.                                  AUTO-PAGING

  4.     The Auto-Paging command provides two functions:
  5.  
  6.     (1) After you have typed the body of your text, by invoking
  7.         Auto-paging you can see at a glance where the page breaks would
  8.         occur if you printed your text from PC-TYPE+ with the current
  9.         header and footer settings.  If some of these breaks do not suit
  10.         your purpose, you can then insert User-page markers where you
  11.         feel they would be more effective.
  12.  
  13.     (2) They may be used to insert a form-feed every n lines in your text
  14.         where n is the number of lines per page less the number of lines
  15.         designated for headers and footers.  This may be useful if you
  16.         want to print your file with the standard DOS PRINT.COM.

  19.                               Press the PgDn Key
  20.  
  21.     If you have used User-Page marks, the Auto-paging feature will begin
  22.     counting at zero after encountering such a marker.
  23.  
  24.     Be sure to delete the Auto-Paging markers before saving your file
  25.     to disk if you are using them for option (1) above.
  26.  
  27.     You may invoke Auto-paging by holding down the Ctrl key and pressing
  28.     "P".  Or, if you forget CtrlP, you may press F8 to get the menu of
  29.     Miscellaneous Options, select F7 (Special Lines), and then press F1
  30.     or (ctrlP) to select the Auto-Paging feature.

  32.     The Auto-Page markers may be deleted from your text by holding down
  33.     the Ctrl key and pressing "D" or as above, going to the Special Lines
  34.     menu and pressing F10.

  36.     Each time you call the Auto-Paging feature, PC-TYPE+ will first delete
  37.     any previous Auto-Paging markers before inserting new ones.

  39.                               Press the PgDn Key
  40.  
  41.     PC-TYPE+ was sent to you with the default of 66 lines per page with
  42.     6 header lines and 5 footer lines, leaving 55 lines of text for each
  43.     page.
  44.  
  45.     Hold down the Ctrl Key and press the "P" key.  You should see that
  46.     an Auto-Page marker has been inserted after line 55 below unless you
  47.     have changed the Vertical Page definition from that sent to you.

  49.     Now to delete the line, try the other method.  Press F8 and select the
  50.     Special Lines function by pressing F7.  Now press F10 to delete the
  51.     Auto-Page line just inserted in your text.
