I would hope that in future years whenever there is an automatic
increase in the rate of Military Retired Pay and the DVA would
develop a systemic method for those veterans that have forgone
retired pay in order to receive disability compensation to have
their survivor benefit plan allotments to be automatically
increased on the effective date of the increase in the survivor
benefit plan payment.
