  1. AUTOMOTIVE ADAPT ALLOWANCE: Veterans and current service
  2. personnel with service-connected loss or permanent loss of use, 
  3. of one or both hands or feet or permanent impairment of vision of 
  4. both eyes to a prescribed degree.  For adaptive equipment 
  5. eligibility only, veterans entitled to compensation for 
  6. ankylosis of one or both knees or one or both hips also qualify.

  9. For the automobile or other conveyance: a one-time payment by VA 
  10. of not more than $5,500 toward the purchase of an automobile or 
  11. other conveyance.

  13. For adaptive equipment:Payment for the adaptive equipment, its
  14. repair, replacement, or re-installation required because of
  15. disability for the safe operation of the vehicle purchased with
  16. VA assistance or for a previously or subsequently acquired
  17. vehicle.
