SUGGESTED CATALOG DESCRIPTION:
The Pool Manager was written for the person who runs the office
sports pools. It maintains all aspects of running a football pool
or a pool for any sport with up to 120 participants. An NFL
schedule is available, but is not required to use the program - all
NFL teams are coded in and you only need to indicate opponents for
each game. The program calculates and prints the standings after
the game results have been entered.
You can configure the exact pool you need, with or without the
following options: Confidence Points/Wins Only; use of the point
spread; application of a tiebreaker. The program also maintains
season long statistics from all pools for a group of up to 140
people to determine a year end payout. You can also run a "What
If" Scenario to determine what the standings would be "If" a
certain team or teams were to win without affecting the actual
results.
The Pool Manager generates 6 different customizable reports, has
complete display color control, and is fully menu driven to minimize
your work and ensure an error free pool.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION:
The Pool Manager was written for the person who runs the office
sports pools. It maintains all aspects of running a football pool
or a pool for any sport with up to 120 participants. An NFL
schedule is available, but is not required to use the program - all
NFL teams are coded in and you only need to indicate opponents for
each game. The program calculates and prints the standings after
the game results have been entered.
Version 2.0 enables you to configure the exact pool you want.
The following options are available to you:
> Determine winning teams by applying the pointspread OR omit the
pointspread
> Score using confidence points OR with wins & losses only
> Apply a custom defined tiebreaker
Now you may also maintain season long statistics from all pools for
a group of up to 140 people to determine a year end payout. These
group statistics can be exported to an ASCII file that you can
import into a spreadsheet or database for further manipulation.
You can also run a "What If" Scenario to determine what the
standings would be "If" a certain team or teams were to win without
affecting the actual results.
The following reports are generated:
Picksheet with all games for participants to indicate their picks
Listing of an individual's picks
Spreadsheet listing all participant's picks on all the games
Intermediate and final Standings
Results of completed games
Group Standings
The Pool Manager runs conveniently from a single Main Menu without
loading and reloading program modules. It has complete display
color control and is fully menu driven to minimize your work and
ensure an error free pool.
