This is documentation for PULLDOWN.MNU
The Pulldown Menu
Jim Dantin

This menu is an adaption of the Release 9 menu designed by Paul
Knox. That menu is available on this board under the name
"PAULMNU.ARC". I have modified Paul's menu to add Release 10
features, along with a few of my own preferences.
As a background, Paul's idea was to eliminate the screen menu and
upgrade the pull-down area to cover all of the commands. This
allows a larger screen area, and a smoother interface to the
user. I enjoyed the larger screen area, but found that some
changes were necessary to make each POPx a logical grouping of
commands. Of course, I wouldn't be at all surprised if MY logic
did not equal YOUR logic!!
Play around with my menu "PULLDOWN.MNU" and let me know what you
think. I encourage you to also download Paul's as a comparison.
I haven't worked much with 3D, so there's probably a LOT of room
for improving the implementation of those functions.
Have Fun!
Jim Dantin
I'm including the text from Paul's README.1ST file for reference:

This MENU was created in order to fully utilize the available drawing
area on your monitor. All Commands have been converted to Pull-Down
mode to facilitate the reconfiguration of the screen without the
screen menu. I have also added several Pull-Down areas that I find
useful, and have become very proficient with.
Of course, speed and Productivity are the name of the game, and I find
it much easier to reach up with the mouse than to move across to them
and then travel through several submenus. As you will see, all
Submenus will fall in the POP 10 area. My reason for this was two-
fold. First the submenus will appear away from the immediate drawing
area, and also still be available for use along with the previous
(PARENT) menu. I have also found this very useful.
In line with the customization idea behind everything we do in AutoCAD I
am sure there will be items you will delete or add to the menu. This is
natural and expected, especially for you that really enjoy customizing
your own. But this is a foundation for what I feel is a faster and more
productive approach in AutoCAD for the intermediate to advanced user.
I respectfully submit this Menu for your evaluation and possible dispersal
to any user who would care to give it a test drive...
I am including a copy of my acad.pgp and a modified version of SETUP.LSP
that will address the Pull-Downs instead of the screen menus. This was
written for Ver. 9.0...
Please contact me by regular mail or E-Mail with your feedback of what you
think of this menu design along with any suggested improvements.
Thank you,
A Fellow User,
Paul Knox
