  8. GENERAL INFORMATION  : This is the latest we have been able to gather on the 
  9. 3COM twisted pair cards.

  11. The 3C523/tp will NOT work with the current driver.  The LOOP BACK test written 
  12. into the current driver will need to be removed.  This driver is in the works, 
  13. but no estimated date for its completion is available.  However, users have 
  14. reported that this card works using the thin Ethernet (BNC) option (which 
  15. disables the on-board transceiver).

  17. The 3C503/tp should work with the current driver.  IMSP and end users, who 
  18. have had it working, say it looks okay.  This card/driver combination has not
  19. yet been tested by IMSP and no date was given.
