  3. Windows NT Client setup
  4.  
  5. Run SETUP.EXE to install the UI.
  6. At the end of the installation, you will be prompted for the server 
  7. directory location.  You need to enter the location of the Gold-Fax 
  8. Server directory using the UNC path to the share "\\node\GOLDFAX".

  10. Use the "Printers" icon to create the GOLDFAX queue on your local 
  11. machine.  This queue will prompt for fax addressing when documents 
  12. are printed to it.

  15. Choose "Create Printer", type GOLDFAX under printer name, choose 
  16. "HP LaserJet III" in the Driver field, and select "GOLDFAX" from
  17. the "Print to:" pull down.  Select "Settings" to verify the correct
  18. processing queue (such as "\\node\GFAX_HP") and choose OK.
  19. Choose the Details button and turn off (un-check) 
  20. the "Delete jobs after printing" option.  Choose OK on both dialog 
  21. boxes.

  23. If "GOLDFAX" is not in the "Print to" pull down, select "Other..",
  24. select "Gold-Fax Ports" and choose OK.  In the Select Gold-Fax Port 
  25. Type dialog box, select Client for the Port type and choose OK.

  28. Uninstalling Client Software

  30. Close the Gold-Fax Service program.
  31. Select the UnInstall icon from the Gold-Fax Server group
  32. and then Reboot.  After rebooting, delete the file:
  33.     \WINNT35\SYSTEM32\GFMON.DLL

  36. Windows 95 Client setup

  38. Choose Control Panel Add/Remove Programs to install Gold-Fax Client.
  39. Follow the prompts and Run SETUP.EXE from the Installation disk.
  40. At the end of the installation, you will be prompted for the server 
  41. directory location.  You need to enter the location of the Gold-Fax 
  42. Server directory using the UNC path to the share "\\node\GOLDFAX".

  46. Choose "Settings" and "Printers" from the Start menu to create the 
  47. GoldFax queue on your local machine.  This queue will prompt for fax 
  48. addressing when documents are printed to it.

  50. Choose "Add Printer", select Next, choose "Local Printer" and select 
  51. Next.  Scroll to "HP" under Manufactures, "HP LaserJet III" under 
  52. Printers and select Next. Choose GOLDFAX under "Available Ports:".
  53. Select the "Configure Port" button and verify the correct processing 
  54. queue (such as "\\node\GFAX_HP") and choose OK from the Set Up Client 
  55. Port dialog box.  Choose Next and then enter the printer name GoldFax.  
  56. Choose Next, select No for printing a test page and select Finish.

  59. Uninstalling Client Software

  61. Choose Control Panel Add/Remove Programs to remove the Gold-Fax Client
  62. and then Reboot.  After rebooting, delete the file:

  66. SMS Installation

  68. The file GOLDFAX.PDF contains commands to Install, ReInstall, and DeInstall
  69. the Gold-Fax client software.  The command that invokes the Install ("Complete") command
  70. will need to change from "\\server\GOLDFAX" to the correct node and and share
  71. of your GoldFax Server.  The "Setup -s" command reads the SETUP.ISS file for 
  72. responses to the setup dialog boxes.  If you would like to change these defaults, modify
  73. the SETUP.ISS file.  If you change the default installation directory, the DeInstall command
  74. must also change to reflect the correct path to the uninst.dll file.
  75. After installing the client software, the target system(s) must be rebooted.
