  8. Please read this information carefully before you start to work.

  10. Installation instructions for StarOffice are found in the
  11. Readme file in the installation directory (e.g. /solaris/office52) and in the /documentation directory.
  12. In the /documentation/acrobat/ directory you will find the Acrobat Reader with which to load PDF files for your platform.

  42. IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE INSTALLATION OF STAROFFICE 5.2
  43.                       UNDER SUN SOLARIS

  46. Before installing StarOffice 5.2 under Sun Solaris you must install a SUN Microsystems operating system patch.

  48. They can be found on the CD-ROM under:

  50. For Solaris Sparc under:
  51. /solaris/patches/solaris2.5.1/  --> Solaris 2.5.1
  52. /solaris/patches/solaris2.6/    --> Solaris 2.6

  55. For Solaris x86 under:
  56. /solarisi/patches/solaris2.5.1/  --> Solaris 2.5.1

  60. The patch is named: "Shared library patch for C++"

  65. PLEASE NOTE THAT STAROFFICE WILL NOT WORK WITHOUT THIS PATCH!
