  3. This is not entirely correct (don't name the file fax.bat, name it something else) but I've
  4. included it because it tells how to do certain WPS operations better than I did.

  7. o   Intel SatisFAXtion
  8.  
  9.     -   The installation program displays the
  10.         message "You have inserted the wrong
  11.         diskette" when changing from disk one to
  12.         disk two.  After the error message is
  13.         displayed, press Enter and the program
  14.         will continue with installation.
  15.     -   At the end of installation of the Intel
  16.         SatisFAXtion you are told to remove the
  17.         diskette and press any key to reboot your
  18.         machine.  Instead, shut down the operating
  19.         system and restart your computer.
  20.     -   If SatisFAXtion software is loaded into
  21.         each DOS session, it might cause the fax
  22.         to stop if another DOS session is started.
  23.         Set up one DOS session to be used for
  24.         faxing, and load the device driver and
  25.         executable files only into that DOS
  26.         session.  To do this, take the following
  27.         steps:
  28.         1.  Edit AUTOEXEC.BAT.
  29.         2.  Cut the last two lines referring to
  30.             the Intel SatisFAXtion board to the
  31.             clipboard and save the file (using DOS
  32.             Command File for the file type).
  33.         3.  Open a New file.
  34.         4.  Paste the last two lines into the new
  35.             file.
  36.         5.  Save the new file as FAX.BAT, using
  37.             DOS Command File as the file type.
  38.         6.  Edit CONFIG.SYS and cut the last two
  39.             lines relating to the Intel
  40.             SatisFAXtion board to the clipboard
  41.             (cut only the last line if you do not
  42.             have a scanner installed).
  43.         7.  Save the file using Plain Text as the
  44.             file type.
  45.         8.  In the Command Prompts folder, select
  46.             a DOS Full Screen icon, press the Ctrl
  47.             key and mouse button two at the same
  48.             time, move the mouse pointer to an
  49.             empty area in the folder, and release
  50.             the mouse button and the Ctrl key.
  51.             This creates a copy of DOS Full
  52.             Screen.
  53.         9.  Put the mouse pointer over your new
  54.             icon and press button two.
  55.         10. Click on the arrow next to Open, and
  56.             select Settings.
  57.         11. Go to the Session page and select the
  58.             DOS settings push button.
  59.         12. Go to DOS_DEVICE and press mouse
  60.             button one.  Move the mouse to the
  61.             dialog area and press button one
  62.             (there should be a blinking cursor
  63.             now).
  64.         13. Paste the text that you cut from the
  65.             CONFIG.SYS file and select Save.
  66.         14. Go to the General page and replace the
  67.             contents of the Title box with FAX (or
  68.             whatever other title you choose).
  69.         15. If you want to edit the new session's
  70.             icon, go to the General page and
  71.             select the Edit push button.
  72.         16. If you want to have this session start
  73.             each time your system starts, move the
  74.             icon to the Start Up folder.
  75.         17. Whenever you start this session, type
  76.             FAX to run the FAX.BAT file before
  77.             using the SatisFAXtion board.
  78.         Use the fax board in only one session at a
  79.         time.
  80.     -   If you install using this procedure and
  81.         you receive error messages, install the
  82.         program under DOS.
