  9. The Park is in Philadelphia in the southeastern part of the state. The Visitor Center is at 3rd and Chestnut Streets. The Philadelphia Mass Transit System (SEPTA) provides access by buses, subway trains, and trolleys.

  12. Open year round. Some buildings may be closed December to March. Peak visitor month is July. Summers are hot and humid; Winters are cold with snow and sleet.

  15. The Park includes structures and sites in central Philadelphia associated with the American Revolution and the founding and growth of the United States: Independence Hall, Congress Hall, Old City Hall, the First and Second Banks of the United States, Franklin Court, The Liberty Bell Pavilion, and others.

  21. Park in nearby Parking garages or use public transportation. Meals are served at City Tavern, 2nd and Walnut. The Deshler-Morris House, a unit of Independence National Historical Park, is at 5442 Germantown Avenue, about seven miles from the Visitor Center at 3rd and Chestnut Streets.
