The Visitor Center is at 3rd and Chestnut Streets. The Philadelphia Mass Transit System (SEPTA) provides access by buses, subway trains, and trolleys. WHEN TO VISIT Open year round. Some buildings may be closed December to March. Peak visitor month is July. Summers are hot and humid; Winters are cold with snow and sleet. POINTS OF INTEREST The Park includes structures and sites in central Philadelphia associated with the American Revolution and the founding and growth of the United States: Independence Hall, Congress Hall, Old City Hall, the First and Second Banks of the United States, Franklin Court, The Liberty Bell Pavilion, and others. The Deshler-Morris House, a unit of Independence National Historical Park, is at 5442 Germantown Avenue, about seven miles from the Visitor Center at 3rd and Chestnut Streets.
