  7. DIRECTIONS
  8. The Riverway is on the boundary between Minnesota and Wisconsin. Park Headquarters is at the corner of Hamilton and Massachusetts Streets in St. Croix Falls. Visitor Centers are located in St. Croix Falls, Grantsburg (Highway 70), Trego, and Stillwater.

  10. WHEN TO VISIT
  11. Open year round. Trego and Grantsburg Visitor Stations closed during Winter months. Peak visitor month is July. Climate: Winter, -4 to 26 degrees F; Summer, 75 to 86 degrees F.

  13. POINTS OF INTEREST
  14. About 200 miles of the beautiful St. Croix River and its Namekagon tributary make up this area, an initial component of the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System. Numerous developed and primitive canoe access campsites are available.

  17. Visitor Center; museum/exhibits; self-guiding tours/trails; picnic areas; campgrounds; group campsites; hiking; swimming; boating; boat rental; boat ramp; fishing; hunting; snowmobile route; cross-country ski trail.

Campgrounds are available nearby (for more information, contact State Department of Natural Resources: St. Paul, Minnesota, 612-296-6157; Madison, Wisconsin, 608-266-2621. Food, supplies, and overnight accommodations are available in Hayward, Trego, Saint Croix Falls, Taylor's Falls, and other communities near the Riverway.
