Despite the strong political thrust, leisure [PARA]and business activities get top slot. It has the largest annual [PARA]turnover of any students' union in the UK with its own [PARA]purpose-built building (Graves Building) and furiously good [PARA]facilities open 7 days a week, employing a force of 250 staff and [PARA]with plans for expansion.[EITAL][HDNG]SU FACILITIES:[EHDNG][PARA]2 pubs. There's a campus[PARA]radio station (Forge FM). The charity Rag (Sheffield Students [PARA]Charities Appeal) which is run jointly with [ULNE]Sheffield Hallam [PARA]University[EULNE], employs a full time staff member. Every year it [PARA]organises the pyjama jump - a huge party in, well, pyjamas. This [PARA]alone can raise up to ú30,000 and is England's biggest single Rag[PARA]event. Last year, Rag raised ú85,000. The student community [PARA]action group is [ITAL]immense, [EITAL]involving between 700 and 800 students[PARA]in all sorts of community and charity work (teaching English, [PARA]helping the elderly, etc).[HDNG]RELIGIOUS:[EHDNG][PARA][STAT][BULL] 8 chaplains[ESTAT][PARA]There are centres for both Jews and Muslims in the SU. In town, [PARA]there is no shortage of places to pray including 2 cathedrals [PARA](Anglican and Catholic).[HDNG]PAID WORK:[EHDNG][PARA][ITAL]Sheffield may offer a lot of things to students, but employment [PARA]isn't one of them. It has its own unemployed to worry about first.[PARA]Only the usual bar and restaurant work.[EITAL][PARA][PARA]
