Despite the strong political thrust, leisure and business activities get top slot. It has the largest annual turnover of any students' union in the UK with its own purpose-built building (Graves Building) and furiously good facilities open 7 days a week, employing a force of 250 staff and with plans for expansion.[EITAL][HDNG]SU FACILITIES:[EHDNG][PARA]2 pubs. There's a campus radio station (Forge FM). The charity Rag (Sheffield Students Charities Appeal) which is run jointly with [ULNE]Sheffield Hallam University[EULNE], employs a full time staff member. Every year it organises the pyjama jump - a huge party in, well, pyjamas. This alone can raise up to ú30,000 and is England's biggest single Rag event. Last year, Rag raised ú85,000. The student community action group is [ITAL]immense, [EITAL]involving between 700 and 800 students in all sorts of community and charity work (teaching English, helping the elderly, etc).[HDNG]RELIGIOUS:[EHDNG][PARA][STAT][BULL] 8 chaplains[ESTAT][PARA]There are centres for both Jews and Muslims in the SU. In town, there is no shortage of places to pray including 2 cathedrals (Anglican and Catholic).[HDNG]PAID WORK:[EHDNG][PARA][ITAL]Sheffield may offer a lot of things to students, but employment isn't one of them. It has its own unemployed to worry about first. Only the usual bar and restaurant work.[EITAL][PARA][PARA]
