Student sports are run by the SU Athletic Union.[EITAL][PARA][PARA][ITAL][HDNG]SPORTS FACILITIES:[EHDNG][EITAL][PARA]In 4 sports centres, there are 33 acres of playing fields for all the [PARA]usual field games and a small athletics track, floodlit artificial [PARA]pitch, tennis and squash courts. Indoor facilities at Llys [PARA]Tal-y-Bont, one of the residential complexes (about 11/2 miles [PARA]from the main campus), include 2 sports halls, a fitness studio, [PARA]free weights room and 5-a-side soccer pitch. The Union also has[PARA]further facilities for table-tennis, squash, fencing, darts, snooker [PARA]and pool. Expert advice, including fitness assessment, is usually [PARA]to hand. Other facilities, such as a swimming pool, shooting [PARA]range, sailing centre and boat house are hired locally by the [PARA]University. The local area also adds an ice rink, ski slope, [PARA]bowling green and the mountains of the surrounding countryside.[PARA]For water sports, there are the River Taff, the sea (the Bristol [PARA]Channel) and a lake - [ITAL]a fair choice.[EITAL][HDNG]SPORTING CLUBS:[EHDNG][PARA]American Football; Hang-Gliding; Aerobics; Caving; Ice Skating; [PARA]Aikido; Mountain Biking; Rambling; Rifle Shooting; Surfing; Tenpin [PARA]Bowling; Waterpolo; Weights; Water-Skiing.[HDNG]ATTRACTIONS:[EHDNG][PARA][PUSH]push[EPUSH] hardly needs mention rugby at Cardiff Arms Park, so we [PARA]won't. There's also football at Ninian Park, the National Stadium, [PARA]Glamorgan Cricket Club at Sophia Gardens and the Cardiff [PARA]Devils ice hockey team.[PARA][PARA]
