  100.    Overcoming obstacles is a big part of any outing.  In the
  101. previous exercise, it was a lake, as drawn above.  To go around an
  102. obstacle and return to your original bearing you merely use right
  103. angle turns.  Here, for instance, you would turn 90  from your
  104. original bearing and then follow it until the obstacle is cleared,
  105. 300'.  Then turn back to the original bearing (another 90  turn) ,
  106. walk until the obect is cleared, keeping track of the distance
  107. traveled-350'. Finally, turn another 90   and walk back the same
  108. distance as the first "leg" of your detour (300'). You can resume
  109. your original bearing, 120 , knowing that you have 50' left to
  110. your objective, point #7.
