┌─────────────────────────┐
│ Introduction │
╘═════════════════════════╛
This is a 3D module player for DOS. It plays all 4 channel Amiga
ProTrakcer modules through one of several sound output devices. It
displays 4 volume bars, and some unexplainable 3D blocks. If you
wanna see the 3D effects, that this module player produces, you must
get (or make) you red/green 3D glasses. The red lens should be at
your left eye, and then of course the green lens will be at your
right eye. Without such glasses the screen would just look like some
complicated mess.
┌─────────────────────────┐
│ Requirements │
╘═════════════════════════╛
This Module Player requires the following:
MS-DOS 3.x of higher
VGA adapter
286 or higher CPU (the faster the better)
red/green 3D glasses
It is also recommended that you use some other sound device than the
PC's internal speaker. The internal speaker REALLY doesn't sound too
good, but at least that isn't my fault, the internal speaker never
sounded too good, and it wasn't designed to sound good either.
┌─────────────────────────┐
│ Sound Devices supported │
╘═════════════════════════╛
This simply amazing ;-) 3D mod player uses GoldPlay, which of course is
coded my Sourcer from CodeBlaster (his real name seems to be Stein
Norheim). I want to thank the CodeBlasters for giving us mortal
programmers the ability to program such cool programs as this one.
The incredible unit supports the following sound devices:
1. Soundplayer/Covox in LPT1 (Mono)
2. Soundplayer/Covox in LPT2 (Mono)
3. SoundBlaster (Mono)
4. Internal Speaker (Mono of course)
5. Two Soundplayers LPT1+2 (Stereo)
6. SoundBlaster Pro (Stereo)
7. Stereo SoundPlayer in LPT1 (Stereo)
8. Stereo SoundPlayer in LPT2 (Stereo)

│ Command line options │
╘═════════════════════════╛
All settings, for the player, are sent through the command line. If
you want to set some settings permanent, I would advise you to create
a batch file containing the options you want to use. I may someday
write a config file, if somebody out there wants it, but I think it's
just a wast of good time. Please remember that the file GOLDPLAY.OVL
must be in the same directory as 3DMOD.EXE. This is basically the
format of my command line (actually it's about all programs' command
line format):
Usage: 3DMOD [options] modname[.MOD]
The not so mysterious modname mentioned above, can conatin wildcards,
but 3DMOD will only play the first module that matches the wildcard.
If no extension is given .MOD will be assumed. This is all so simple
really.
Now here comes a brief explanation of this options part I mentioned:
/D# sound device (3)
/F##### mixing frequency (16000)
/I# SoundBlaster IRQ (7)
/M# SoundBlaster DMA (1)
/P### SoundBlaster port ($220)
/B no volume bars (on)
/R rectangles around bars (off)
/H high density bars (off)
/S show SB settings
The # signs represents numbers. All numbers are treated as decimal,
if you want to enter hexadecimal number, you should prefix them with
a $ sign, for example /P$220 would set the SoundBlaster output port
to 0220h. The numbers (and on/off) in parenthesis above are the default
values that are asumed, if you don't specify that specific option. The
/S option is there for you to test everything is exactly setup as you
want it.

│ The Keys │
╘═════════════════════════╛
Here follows all the incredible keys you can press while the music
is playing:
ESC - stop playing and return to DOS
Well, maybe the keys are not all that incredible as they first seemed.

│ Technical Information │
╘═════════════════════════╛
This crazy program was coded in Turbo Pascal 7.0 (probably the coolest
language ever written). The source code of this program isn't available
to you inquisitive public out there, and if you think you can bribe me
with money, you are RIGHT! There is nothing on this earth that can't
be bought, so if I happen to recieve an envelope that contains some money,
the sender might just happen to recieve some source. Be warned though if
you want well documented source code you would have to send more money,
because I would have to document it especially for you. Please contact me
through eMail (address at end of document) before sending me money. That
is if you want source code, if you just want to send me money, hey go
ahead, I won't try to stop you!

3DMOD 1.0 (C) 1993 RC-SOFT, written by Renier Crause.
This program is copyrighted by me, Renier Crause. That doesn't mean
you shouldn't copy this program, in fact I order you to give this
program te every living person you know (it would of course help, if
the person you give it, owns a PC). No, this copyright means you may
not change my program, or dissemble it without my permission. This
program is NOT freeware, it is what I call Mailware (nice name, eh?)
What this Mailware actually means, is that if you like this program
(or not) you are obliged to let me know, either through eMail or
snail mail.

even some meaningless ones. Sorry I can't answer any snail mail
comments, but I can sure act on any suggestions you mailed to me.
Remember, this is not freeware, you are obliged to send me your

like to hear from you.
